New Hampshire Youth Movement is looking for students to be in committed stipend roles in New Hampshire this Fall. We are especially looking for prospective student organizers at Plymouth State University, Keene State College, St. Anselm College, and Dartmouth College, but students at any NH college are encouraged to apply. This part time role is an opportunity to develop your own community organizing skills and have a positive impact on your community. Fellows will work in conjunction with the hub coordinator and full-time NHYM staff to grow a team of student organizers on their campus that, together, will turn out thousands of young voters to elect movement champions in November.
Role Overview
The role of the fellows will be to take on a consistent role in the hub, that can be coordinating tabling shifts, class raps, leading volunteer recruitment, having 1:1s with new or prospective members, leading phonebanks/textbanks, or planning events.
Time Commitment
The time commitment for this role is roughly 2-5 hours per week. This role is specifically structured for students who do not have a lot of time to commit but still want to be involved. Essentially this is a paid volunteer position to make organizing work more accessible to students.

We are looking for people who are passionate about the issues, ready to get involved, and eager to learn. We’re used to training up powerful young leaders; we’ll train and support you as you grow.
The ideal candidate is/has:
- Excited to make New Hampshire a better place and build the political power of young people
- Ready to go hard pledging young people to vote at your school to elect local progressive champions
- Friendly and outgoing; ready to meet new people, build relationships, and bring them into the work
- Understanding of what is at stake for you in this election, and interested to learn what is at stake for others
What you’ll do
- Work with the hub coordinator (or Field Director) to find a specific role that fits you
- Turn out your peers to vote in the 2024 election using standard organizing tactics
- Table on campus and collect )Pledge to Vote cards (PTVs)
- Attend weekly hub meetings (if a hub exists on your campus)
- Uphold the NHYM principles in your work
Location
This role is not specifically based in any region of the state. Students from Plymouth State University, Keene State College, St. Anselm College, and Dartmouth College are preferred, but students at any NH college are encouraged to apply.
Support Provided
- Mentorship check ins with your hub coordinator or a director
- In-depth organizing training
- Access to all of NHYM’s toolkits, templates, resources, and trainings
- Support from all members of the Director Team on an as-needed basis
Compensation
This position is paid as a stipend, with the largest individual stipend being $600 if you commit to the whole semester. If you come on board during the semester there is a possibility that the stipend will go down to reflect the amount of time you will be working with us.
