New Hampshire Youth Movement is looking for students passionate about making progressive change to lead hubs at: Keene State College, Plymouth State University, Dartmouth, and St Anselm. This role is a great opportunity to learn about community organizing, involve other students on your campus, and win changes that improve people’s lives.
Role Overview
The role of a hub coordinator is to recruit, develop, and retain a base of young people to plan and run a local issue campaign that is important to people in your town, and campus and support the statewide legislative campaign to block bad legislation.
Compensation
This position is hourly, compensated at $17.85 an hour and paid biweekly. The goal hours per week for this role is 12 hours.

Building & leading a team of young people actively involved in making change through NHYM campaigns.
Specific Responsibilities (12 hours/week)
- Attend a series of onboarding trainings, and additional trainings as they come up
- Plan and run a local issue campaign with your hub members that works to win a specific change on an issue people on your campus are passionate about
- Organize regular hub meetings on campus
- Recruit people to those meetings
- Build relationships with those members
- Create tasks for those meetings/those people that align with NHYM’s campaigns such as roles in NHYM events like rallies or mass calls, testifying at the statehouse, or meetings with elected officials or other policy makers
- Complete an average of 3 initial one on one meetings with prospective members a month
- Organize workgroups with NHYM leaders to make progress on specific goals and tasks
- Spread the word about NHYM through a hub specific social media account
- When needed, turn students out to statewide events like lobby days and direct actions
- Check in weekly with your manager for accountability and thought partnership
- Uphold the NHYM principles while acting as hub coordinator

- Weekly mentorship check ins with a direct manager
- Access to all of NHYM’s toolkits, templates, resources, and trainings
- Support from all members of the director team on an as-needed basis
- Funding to run events, activities, food and more.
- Option to engage/network with our national partners in convenings and more
